Consider Using Wooden Beads As Natural Ornaments

Wooden beads are the most natural form of beads and also one of the most common forms of jewelry worn through centuries. Wood beads are generally easy to find as compared to glass beads which are properly molted and manufactured. It’s one of the most favorite hobbies of carpenters to use the most available wood types to carve out beads in different shapes and forms. Wooden beads are so common that they are taken for granted because the amount of material that has been published for it is comparatively less. However, they do are the natural form of wooden beauty.

These are made out of soft wood such as olive, sandalwood, bamboo, bayong, ebony, ironwood, palm, apple, pear and rose. Another reason for using such kind of wood to carve these beads is because they are naturally scented. Their naturally aroma give the ornaments a different texture and quality. For example, Olive wood has natural grain that is wavy in its form and the wood at its hearts darkens and hardens with age to produce different elegant patterns.

Just like Olive wood, other scented woods also have a special tendency to be different and beautify the wooden beads. You would be able to find wooden beads in so many accessories such as earrings, necklace, garlands or bracelets. Wooden beads are also used for decoration and embellishment of different furniture. Sandal wood is one of the softest in nature and is used for so many purposes. It has a slender aroma and can be curved very easily into any form and shape. Rose wood beads are dark and heavy in nature. Its lines appear in black and dark brown color. They also have some psychic believes with it such as it’s said to strengthen aura and remove negative energies around you. Some wooden beads are pricy because they are considered to be scared in certain religions.

Curving wooden beads is not a difficult process; however it requires certain understanding and clarity of carving the wood in different shapes and forms. Before, the tools that were used to curve woods were hand oriented and were more difficult for the carvers and carpenters to curve out them. It was more time consuming and exhausting but now modern utensils are a great help and latest manufacturing processes are competent and inexpensive. Using modern machines deliver fast results and once these are carved, you can paint them and give some time to dry. Many organizations produce beads using the same strategy. Soft woods are easily available in market and can be found anywhere globally depending upon which one is widely available in your region.

Wooden beads are also used as buttons found on our shirt or pants. This is one of the most common types that are found in the market today where as of today these aren’t utilized as much as they should have been but still these are used in many kinds of architectural designs.
